(( Blog hiatus ))
(( It’s nearing the end of the school semester and I don’t have the time or motivation to keep up with this blog for the time being, so see you guys around. *salute**stumbles back into the cloud of paint fumes and disappears* ))
It was then that Rhode turned around to see what all the commotion was about… Oh boy… This thing was big, and quite intimidating…
“What. The fuck. Is that?” She asked, her chest still heaving from the heavy breathing. She had a look of fear and confusion on her face and she…
It gave a slight nod, then moved to the hatch, and with one arm, fully pulled it out of the way, and finally noticed the Forerunner, taking interest, as their species were to be extinct.*Jack wasn’t able to hide how tense he was. He didn’t survive this long by trusting people. The only reason he was still was because the director, for as long as he held Jack’s contract, was his god.* … What now, sir?
Some visceral, gut instinct wanted to crank Grace’s fight-or-flight control on as high as it would go, a thrill of adrenalin racing up his spine. Whatever this being was, it was hunting the creatures infesting the ship. Beyond that, if its apparent interest was any indication, he rather doubted that it would hold any sort of loyalty - or mercy - to those on the Mother of Invention.
Resisting the impulse to tense, the Forerunner met the interested stare levelly, then stepped aside to the wall of the passage, unwilling to turn his back on the other.

The Sleeper Has Awakened: dr-leonard-church: ask-agent-rhode: Director of Project Freelancer:…
Sir, who is that!? *Jack yelled. He had stopped firing and was just watching for any that got close. Ammo would be precious soon.*
“Grace? Holy…
The creature continued to observe the group, and replayed in the Director’s voice: “Bug hunt.” Before whipping around and sliced an alien’s head so fast, the separation was delayed, and faced them again.*Jack send a private comm to the director.* Sir… Whatever this thing is, I doubt one of us could take it… I suggest running… Highly, suggest running.
“I am just glad… to have found survivors,” he grunted, hearing gears grind in the mechanisms of the ship as he threw more of his armor’s strength against the hatch.
As the gap between the two halves grew wider, more of the hall beyond became visible. Grace took note of the Director, an agent he was not familiar with… And something clearly not human but just as clearly different from the other organisms running rampant on the ship. The sheer speed of its movements was vaguely alarming; no less so than the fact that it had clearly been on the ship for some time.
A swift, silent exchange with the colorless not-voice in the back of his mind yielded no information at all, which was enough in and of itself to put the Forerunner’s hackles up. For now, though, it seemed to be hunting the same things that they were; how long that would last, he didn’t know.

The alien looked at it, then batted it further down the hall, and was ready to pounce at Jack, when it suddenly exploded in a flash of blue plasma. Followed by what sounded like a growl and thundering steps down a hall to the reactor. (Yes, I brought in one of THEM, and shit just got real.)
*Jack wasn’t affected by the flash as much as the creatures. Instinct caused him to send two more shots into the elder alien’d chest. He didn’t stop to see if it wasn’t going to pounce on him. There were others that were closing quickly. He felt more than heard the ground shake. He was too preoccupied with dropping his DMR to hang by it’s sling, then laying down fire on anything that got too close.* Rhodes, hows the hatch coming?!
She was starting to slow down due to the burning ache in her muscles, but she pushed forward. All of her attention was focused on the hatch as it was only a third of the way open. Her breathing was ragged as she replied.
“It’s coming! Third of the way open… Give me… A few more… Minutes!”
[The Director unleashed his shotgun on the aliens that continued to swarm around them, but they didn’t seem to be attacking the group, instead, they appeared to be running AWAY from the hallway that the plasma explosion had came from.]
“Jack…..ah think that somethin’ BIG is comin’……..and if these bastahds are afraid of it, ah don’t know what we should expect…..”
[The Director aimed his shotgun down the hallway and waited for what was to come. Suddenly 3 laser guided points circled around the hallway until they were between jack and the Director]
As the last few stragglers of the swarm raced past, a second set of armored hands emerged from the open space between the two halves of the partially opened hatch and gripped the edges, glowing geometric lines flaring into visibility as the cloaking field faded.
“Agent Rhodes, I have never been so happy to see someone in my life,” the familiar voice of the Forerunner spoke from the other side. Wasting no time, he was already adding his armor-enhanced strength to hers to force the hatch open. His armor was no longer the casual-minimum he maintained it at, thick enough now to display a very slightly translucent silver-white color and looking more like armor than a bodysuit. No doubt he had been dealing with the same problems that they were and now he was clearly ready for combat - or, alternatively, forcing open hatches and running like hell for evac zones, whichever happened to come first.
Anonymous asked: Thinking about Tex?
Thinking about how to approach her without getting maimed, yes… Unfortunately, I really have no idea how the mind of a human female works. My experiences are limited and Doctor Halsey isn’t exactly what one would call an “average” example.
Anonymous asked: Tex just said that she would fuck you. Well, have a one night stand with you.
*ahem* I am aware of this, thank you. [Contemplative look.]
Anonymous asked: She's assertive, chances are, if you're assertive, she'll just roll with it... Or you you might get the shit beat out of you. Worth a shot to fuck her though, am I right!? :D
I value keeping my bones and organs intact and in their proper locations slightly more than I value “getting laid,” as you humans like to put it. I appreciate the attempt at alleviating my forced celibacy, however. [Amused.]
Anonymous asked: You should totally do her. She seems like a one night stand kinda person anyway.
It would have to be her idea. If I so much as hinted that I was thinking about suggesting such a thing, I would probably end up with triple the bruising I received from our sparring match.
